Nyeri County Speaker escapes attack as thugs raid his home

Nyeri County Assembly Speaker John Kaguchia and his family narrowly escaped an attack by unknown assailants who raided their home early Monday morning.

The thugs are reported to have invaded the Speaker’s home at around 2am but Mr. Kaguchia and his family were not around during the incident.

They had travelled to Nairobi where the Speaker was scheduled to have an interview with a local TV station Monday morning.

According to the Speaker’s communication team, the thugs harassed a security officer stationed at the home, drove him out of the compound in a saloon car before dumping him near Nyeri Inn.

Police have since began investigations and a hunt for the suspects.
