Oburu dismisses admission claims, says was in hospital briefly

Media reports on Tuesday morning indicated that Oburu was readmitted to hospital under strict visitor restrictions. 

In a statement to the press, the Siaya Senator allayed fears about his health, saying he had been in hospital briefly and was "very well". 

"​I had only briefly visited the hospital for a general check-up with my doctors and have since returned home," said Oburu. 

Oburu further stated that he was a 'transparent person' who would inform the public in case of serious health complications. 

​"Being sick is a normal human experience and should not alarm anyone. The day I am truly sick, I will inform you all, for I am a very transparent person," he said.
