Over 7,000 youth show up for KDF recruitment exercise in Embakasi

Over 7,000 youth showed up for the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) recruitment exercise in Embakasi on Monday.

KDF on Sunday announced the recruitment of former National Youth Service (NYS) officers at Embakasi Garrison. Officials told Citizen Digital the Monday exercise attracted hopefuls who had never been part of the youth service.

Videos of the scene on Monday showed hordes of people spilling across the main highway.

KDF has shortlisted prospective Specialist Officer Cadets as well as Tradesmen and women while the recruitment of constables is meanwhile set to take place on October 27.
