Parliament unveils 7 nominees for Commission of Revenue Allocation positions

 National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula has notified Members of Parliament and the public on seven persons nominated to the Committee of Revenue Allocation.

 

The list which contains names of seven legislators drawn from the Majority and Minority will be submitted to the departmental committee on Finance and National planning for purposes of vetting.

 

The Majority party has nominated Benedict Muasya Mutiso, Jonas Misto Vincent, Isabel Nyambura Waiyaki and Hadija Nganyi Juma to the revenue committee.

 

On the other hand, the minority party nominated Wilfred Koitamet Olekina, George Jalang’o Midiwo and Fatuma Gedi Ali as its representatives in the commission.

 

In a notice on Saturday, November 26, Wetangula asked the speaker of the national assembly to notify the public of approval hearings and invite them to submit their statements on the suitability of the nominees.

 

The tenure of the current members of the Commission for Revenue Allocation will expire on December 31.
