Police investigate break-in at KCB Bank Othaya
Police in Othaya, Nyeri County are investigating an incident in which an unidentified individual broke into a KCB Bank branch within the area.
Othaya Sub-County Police Commander Robert Kibuchi told Citizen Digital that the intruder forcibly entered the bank through a window situated on the first floor of the building, which reportedly lacked protective grills.
"The suspect ransacked the bank. It seems he was looking for something particular," Kibuchi said.
The police boss however clarified that no cash was stolen during the incident.
"He was not able to access the safe or the ATMs. No money was stolen," he said.
Kibuchi added that police have since called in forensics and bank experts to assist with the investigations.
