Police launch probe after Kirinyaga University student killed

Police in Kirinyaga County have launched investigations into the
murder of a Kirinyaga University student at Kutus trading centre.
According to Mwea East sub--county Police Commander James
Mutua, the fourth year student was attacked by unknown people at around 9pm.
“The deceased was accompanied by his two fellow students who raised
alarm after he collapsed as he started bleeding on the thigh following the attack,” Mr. Mutua said.
The police boss said they’re pursuing various leads into the
death of the university student.
“We have informed his relatives and right now we are waiting
for postmortem,” Mr. Mutua added.
