Poor State Of Kapenguria 6 Houses

Kenyatta house in Lodwar is one of the landmarks of Kenya’s struggle against British colonialism. In this house, constructed in 1958, served as a detention camp for five of the Kapenguria Six – Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Achieng Oneko, Kung'u Karumba, Paul Ngei and Fred Kubai- who were serving their sentence in Lokitaung prison. To preserve this history the government converted the house into a museum. As kenya celebrates her heroes and heroines Michael Njenga tells us how Kenyatta house museum is in a sorry state.
