Popular Egesa FM comedian Okebiro Omose laid to rest

Egesa FM presenter and comedian Joseph Mochere Atandi who was known to his fans as Okebiro Omose was buried at his home in Nyamira.

Hundreds of fans showed up to pay their last respects while others took to social media to express their shock over what could have driven the lively comedian to take his own life.

Mochere had reportedly never showed any signs of depression while at work and being a popular comedian, ironically brought laughter to many.

His daughter broke down in tears as she described him as an encouraging person and one who always had their back.

“He was always a pillar of hope and made everybody understand that hard times were not the end of  life,” she told mourners.

Royal Media Services Company pledged to support the bereaved family of a man fondly remembered by his listeners.

Okebiro Omose leaves behind a widow and two children.
