Popular Kameme FM presenter Njogu wa Njoroge has officially joined Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

Ruto personally welcomed Njoroge, who is eyeing Njoro’s parliamentary seat at the August polls, into UDA’s fold on Thursday following a meeting at the DP’s official residence in Karen.

The DP’s allies have since taken to social media to congratulate Njoroge for his move and venture into politics.

"Njogu Wa Njoroge, welcome to The Hustler Nation. May your dream to join Parliament come true," DP Ruto's digital strategist Dennis Itumbi also said on Twitter.

Njoroge started his media journey as a sports presenter at KBC in the 2000s before joining Kameme FM and later Inooro Fm in 2006. He would rejoin Kameme FM a few years later before shifting to Gukena FM in 2014. He later left the Radio Africa group station in 2019 for Kameme FM and TV station.

He joins other notable media personalities such as Tony Kwalanda, Felix Odiwour popularly known as Jalan’go, Manda Shivanga, Alex Mwakideu and Mwanaisha Chidzuga who have all expressed interest in contesting for elected positions at the August General Election.
