The cost of finance in Kenya remains a major drawback for youth keen to access seed fund for businesses with banks charging interest rates as high as 25% for loans. Successive governments have however created 3 major funds ostensibly to provide easy loans for the youth, women and persons with disability keen on starting their own businesses. Tonight on the Citizen Business Center we take a critical look at how effective these funds are in empowering their targeted groups. Partick Igunza reports.
