Court Directs Case on Justice David Majanja's estate succession case to be transferred to the Presiding Judge

The court has ordered that the case involving Justice David Majanja's estate be urgently placed before the presiding judge, following concerns over the deteriorating health of one of the beneficiaries, Gerishon Majanja, who is reportedly bedridden.

The matter was last mentioned before Justice Chemitei, who directed the parties to file additional documents to clarify certain aspects of the case.

Counsel for the parties, representing Gerishom Majanja and Jason Oudo, and counsel for the beneficiaries, Janet, Louis, and Allan Majanja, requested that the court expedite the proceedings.

During the virtual hearing, the father of Justice David Majanja appeared before the court.

The court was informed that his health condition has made it urgent for the matter to be heard without further postponement.

The court acknowledged the urgency and instructed that the file be placed before the presiding judge for immediate attention.

The case has generated interest due to the involvement of the late judge’s family and the welfare of the beneficiaries. All parties have been directed to log in to the presiding judge’s court for further directions, with the expectation that the matter will now proceed without delay.
