Pressure Mounts For Prosecution Of â€˜Chickengateâ€™ Scam Beneficiaries
Pressure continues to mount on Kenyan officials accused of receiving bribes from a printing firm in the UK to step aside to allow for investigations. Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirichir and IEBC Chair Ahmed Isaack Hassan, alongside former CEO James Oswago are now walking on a tightrope, following the sentencing in a UK court that implicates them in a bribery scandal. This came as the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko says he is waiting to study files on the same from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission before any of the said officials can be prosecuted.
