Probe on over mysterious death of Egerton University student

His deceased's family explains that Francis Pepela, 23, was in Kanduyi watching an African Cup of Nations (AFCON) match at night before he met his death.

The deceased's father Lazarus Pepela, explains that while receiving the news of his son's death he was told that Francis was hit by a trailer and sustained head injuries. He cast doubt on the report .

"Some of his friends are saying that there was a scuffle at the place which caused the head injuries. We don't know what the fight was about," he said.

"We expect that the information the witnesses give will help us find the cause of his death."

Francis was pursuing journalism at the said institution.

Residents have decried the rising insecurity cases in the area, calling for swift action from the offices.

Meanwhile, a probe has been launched into the death to unearth the cause of death.
