Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua has taken oath as the second Deputy President of Kenya.

Rigathi took the oath of the assumption of office, beginning with the Oath of Allegiance of the Deputy President, which was administered by Chief registrar of Judiciary Anne Amadi in presence of Attorney General Paul Kihara.

Gachagua also took the oath of the Due Execution of the Office of the Deputy President.

He was accompanied by his Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.

Rigathi is the second to occupy the office of the Deputy President of Kenya, which was first occupied by current President William Ruto.

After being sworn into office, Rigathi and his wife Pastor Dorcas posed for a photo on the dias at Kasarani Stadium.

He then appended his signature on certificates of the oaths of office. Chief Justice Martha Koome also signed the certificates.
