Worshipers at PCEA Tayari church in Molo woke up to shocking news on Tuesday Morning after thieves broke into the church making away with properties of unknown value.

According to church officials, they received distressing calls from neighbours after the Church Security officer was found tied up in ropes at the church’s compound.

It is believed the robbers made their way into the church through the window, with officials claiming they were targeting offertory money collected on Sunday during the Women's Guild event. Unfortunately the cash had been moved into the church's account.

Among other items that were stolen are Piano, Church amplifier system, Pulpit covers, hymn books among others items.

Church members have condemned the insecurity act, urging Molo police to regularly carry out day and night patrols to curb the rising insecurity cases.

Officers drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation in Molo arrived at the scene of crime commencing the probe.
