Saba Saba demos: Three protesters arrested in Lodwar town

Police in Lodwar town, Turkana County have arrested three protesters who were taking part in the Saba Saba Day protests declared by Opposition leader Raila Odinga across the country.
The three young men were walking along Lodwar streets while carrying placards as they demanded the government lower food commodity prices.
Lodwar police officers who were on patrol ready to detect
any illegal assembly pounced on the protestors immediately and bundled them into the land cruiser.
The three are currently locked up in Lodwar police cell.
Human Rights activists in Lodwar led by Lokopirr Joseph and Ikal Angeley are currently mounting pressure on the Turkana County Police Commander to release the protestors
unconditionally.
