Section of Lang'ata Road to be closed on Sunday - KeNHA

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA)
has announced that a section of Lang’ata Road will be closed off to motorists
to allow for construction of the T-Mall River Footbridge.
The road closure, KeNHA says, will be effected
on Sunday September 25, 2022 from 5am to 5pm, and will affect only the service
lane between T-Mall Roundabout and Madaraka Roundabout.
"KeNHA wishes to notify the public that
a section of Langata Road, along the service lane (Nyayo bound lane) between
T-Mall Roundabout and Madaraka Roundabout will experience traffic
disruptions," the Authority's Director General Kungu Ndungu said in a
statement.
"This follows the planned closure of the
road to pave way for the erection of the T-Mall River Footbridge. The section
will be closed on Sunday, September 25, 2022, from 5.00 am to 5.00 pm (12 hours).
"
The Authority noted that the installation of
the footbridge is aimed at ensuring a continuous pedestrian walkway on the busy
highway.
Motorists have since been urged to adhere to
instructions given by traffic marshals on alternative areas surrounding the
construction area.
"Motorists from Raila Odinga Way and
Langata headed towards Madaraka Roundabout are advised to take Ole Sangale Link
or Mai Mahiu Roads," Eng. Ndungu stated.
