A 42-year-old night security guard was brutally murdered at a wines and Spirit retail shop in Mbita Town on Sunday night. 

The deceased identified as Joseph Orina was murdered after the gang raided Mesca and Sons Wine and Spirit in Mbita Town, hit and killed him before gaining access into the shop.

Mbita Town assistant chief Wilson Makori says the gang first tied deceased hands using a rope before they hit his head with a blunt object killing him on the spot.

Makori says after killing Joseph Orina, the thugs gained entry into the shop where they stole over ten boxes of wine, a laptop and Ksh.7,000 in cash before escaping. 

The administrator says that the deceased had deep cuts at the back of his head inflicted by a blunt object which the suspects used during the night raid.

The deceased body was taken to MED 25 -Kirindo mortuary.
