The senate plans to contest in the Supreme Court the legality of 46 bills passed by the National Assembly in a resurgence of supremacy battles between senators and MPs. Senators on Tuesday began debating a motion whose adoption will see them seek the highest court intervention over what they claims is the usurpation of their constitutional mandate by the national assembly. But as Obadiah Kendagor reports, MPs argue it’s the senators who are overreaching their roles.
