Seven killed after lorry rams into matatu, traders in Nyamira

The lorry driver reportedly lost control and rammed into the matatu and several traders who were operating within the market area.

Six people died on the spot, while one more succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at Summit Hospital.

Several others sustained various injuries and were rushed to different hospitals within Borabu Constituency for medical attention. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the St. Joseph Nyansiongo Hospital mortuary.

Authorities have yet to confirm the total number of fatalities, with officials warning that the death toll could rise as more details emerge.
