This initiative, in partnership with the Kenya Red Cross Society, aims to engage local communities in addressing critical healthcare needs while reinforcing Shalina's ongoing commitment to providing accessible and quality healthcare solutions across the continent.
Shalina Healthcare’s focus on community well-being extends beyond the donation drive. Earlier in December, the company kicked off its anniversary celebrations with a tree planting initiative at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), East Africa’s largest and oldest hospital.
The event, led by Mr. Vikas Khandelwal, Vice President and Business Head for East Africa, was centred around environmental sustainability and community health.
The tree planting ceremony was well-received by KNH management, who viewed it as a meaningful contribution towards fostering a greener and healthier environment. The initiative also set the stage for potential future collaborations between Shalina Healthcare and KNH on healthcare projects.
Founded 40 years ago, Shalina Healthcare is a privately-owned company headquartered in Dubai with a strong presence across Africa, including countries such as Nigeria, Zambia, Angola, Ghana, Kenya, and others.
The company has built a reputation as a trusted healthcare provider, offering more than 265 products ranging from prescription medications to consumer health services. Shalina Healthcare specializes in therapeutic areas such as anti-malarials, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and nutrition, with both generic and branded generic options available to meet diverse healthcare needs.
In addition to its pharmaceutical offerings, Shalina Healthcare has recently expanded into the healthcare services sector with the launch of Shalina Diagnostics in Africa.
