Six killed after matatu collides with tractor without headlights on Eldoret-Turbo Road

Six people died on Wednesday night in a road accident at Maili Tisa area on the Eldoret-Turbo Road.

According to police, the accident occurred after a tractor without headlights collided with an 11-seater matatu that was heading to Kitale from Nairobi.

Six people died on the spot with others sustaining serious injuries.

A parastatal vehicle that was behind the public service vehicle also rammed the matatu.

Members of the public and Uasin Gishu County Rescue team arrived at the scene to rescue the survivors.
