Through a statement issued on Tuesday, Moja said the speed guns have been installed along various points of the highway and will be operated by traffic police.
Motorists have likewise been cautioned to adhere to the prescribed speed limit of 80 km/hr.
The latest comes after a number of tragic accidents have been witnessed along the Expressway, prompting the government to increase safety measures to reduce the numbers which were on the rise.
In June, after a series of tragic accidents were witnessed at the Mlolongo toll station, former government Spokesperson Col. Cyrus Oguna noted that the crashes are largely the result of ignorance of the installed speed limits.
"Highway crashes on our roads, including the expressway have been on the rise. The crashes are attributed largely to drivers ignoring speed limits," wrote Oguna on Twitter.
"Motorists using the Expressway are urged to adhere to the recommended speed limits to avoid chances of a crash like the Mlolongo one."
