President Uhuru Kenyatta did not have any planned meetings with Members of Parliament, Senators, and Governors drawn from his Central Kenya home turf, a statement from State House has said.

State House spokesperson Kanze Dena told the media on Thursday that the Head of State had neither convened nor postponed such a meeting.

"The President did not convene nor postpone any such meeting. Therefore, the information is false and misleading.,"  the statement reads.

According to State House, President Uhuru will, for the rest of the week and the weekend, be in several public engagements that will be duly communicated through established channels.

“His Excellency President Kenyatta's diary for the remainder of the week and the weekend ahead has several public engagements of which Kenyans will be duly informed through established platforms.,” the statement noted.
