Survivors of the Narok accident that saw five people perish have narrated their ordeal with shocking revelations of what led to the incident.

One of them, Berryl Adhiambo, spoke to Citizen Digital from her bed at Narok Referral Hospital.

She said she was travelling to Nairobi to visit her brother and suddenly heard a loud bang from behind the vehicle she was in.

Their Transline matatu had been hit and the driver lost control.

Another survivor, Churchill Okore said he was travelling from Kisii to Nairobi and was asleep only to be jolted awake by a sudden force that threw him halfway out of the window of the matatu.

As for one Paul Onzoko, who was also asleep, he woke up only to find himself at the hospital. He has no recollection of what happened.

Medical officers said most patients admitted had soft tissue injuries and have since been treated and discharged.

The Narok accident involved a lorry, matatu and trailer at Duka moja area near Suswa in Narok county.
