A 42-year-old suspected drug trafficker has been arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) detectives, seizing heroin worth Ksh.1.19 million in Nakuru.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported that Ephantus Kariuki was riding a motorcycle carrying suspicious items, prompting detectives to halt him and conduct a search, where 397 grams of heroin were found.

The detectives also recovered two syringes and needles, ten rolls of bhang, and three packets of Super-match cigarettes. Detectives believe Kairuki's trip was an active drug supply run.

The suspect will remain in police custody as the detectives complete their investigations ahead of his arraignment.
