Suspect linked to string of gang robberies in Trans Nzoia County arrested

Police officers in Trans Nzoia County have arrested one suspect linked to a string of violent robberies and gang rape incidents, as the National Police Service (NPS) intensifies a crackdown on organised criminal groups in Kiminini Sub-County.
According to NPS, the arrest followed an intelligence-led operation and a coordinated ambush that led officers to a storage facility believed to have been used by the suspects.
During the raid, police recovered several stolen items, including motorcycles, electronics, and assorted motorbike parts, which have since been positively identified by the victims.
The suspect is currently in police custody awaiting arraignment, while a manhunt for the remaining accomplices continues.
NPS has maintained that it will remain steadfast in taming cases of violent crime and sexual offences, and will heighten operations aimed at dismantling organised criminal networks across the country.
