Suspected cattle rustler killed, 9 arrested along Kisumu-Nandi border

One suspected cattle rustler was gunned down and nine others arrested along the border of Kisumu and Nandi counties on Saturday.

Police are also pursuing other suspects in an effort to restore peace and order along the volatile border.

National Cohesion and Integration Commision Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo who has camped in the area has announced tough measures to deal with cattle rustlers who have been identified as the cause of the fighting.

The clashes left 5 people dead and several houses burnt.
