Teacher arrested for defiling 13-year old girl in Nyamira

A teacher in Nyamira is in police custody for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl.

The suspect, who teaches at a local primary school was rescued by administrators after locals threatened to lynch him after he reportedly confessed of having detained and defiled the child for a night in his house.

The victim’s elder brother said that she had been sent to a posho mill but failed to return home.

The minor was rushed to hospital.

Nyamira county Police Commander, Catherine Mugo confirmed the incident saying that the suspect will be arraigned in court after investigations are complete.
