Three Injured in Mombasa Ferry Mishap

The evening incident caused panic and confusion among commuters as the ferry drifted towards Mama Ngina Drive before hitting a cliff.

A section of commuters jumped overboard into the ocean in a bid to swim to safety, but were fortunately rescued by Kenya Red Cross officials and divers.

The injured were rushed to various hospitals in Mombasa County. 

The ferries have recently been hit by a series of mishaps and mechanical problems leading to long delays, which inconvenience motorists and commuters.
