Investment, Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary (CS) nominee Lee Kinyanjui has revealed that his net worth stands at Ksh.471 million.

Speaking during his appearance before the National Assembly's Committee on Appointments for vetting on Tuesday, the former Nakuru Governor disclosed that his assets include shares in family businesses and properties he owns.

“Mr. Chairman (Speaker) my shares in family businesses are around Ksh.399 million and some apartments worth Ksh.80 million,” he said.

Kinyanjui however noted that he has an outstanding loan of Ksh.8 million, which he said affects his overall net worth.

“I have a loan of Ksh.8 million and that gives me a modest net worth of Ksh.471,000,972,” he said.

Kinyanjui is one of three Uhuru Kenyatta allies that was nominated for ministerial positions by President William Ruto in December 2024, alongside William Kabogo (ICT) and Mutahi Kagwe (Agriculture).

Should his appointment be approved by Parliament, he will officially replace Salim Mvurya who was moved to the Sports Ministry following the appointment of Kipchumba Murkomen as Interior CS.
