Travellers aboard Madaraka Express train stuck for 1 hour in Voi after tremors hit region

Passengers using the Madaraka Express train service were on Wednesday stuck for an hour at the Ndii area in Voi.

This is after a series of earth tremors rocked Taita Taveta, throwing the 5-hour journey into uncertainty.

The journey delayed as authorities embarked on inspecting the railway to ascertain whether it had been affected by the tremors.

It was not untill the multi-agency team gave the green light that the train was allowed to leave the station.
