At the Senate, Judy Muthoni will give an account of events that led to the death of her 2-year-old son, who sustained serious injuries after a fork-jembe was lodged in his skull.
Citizen Digital spoke to Judy Muthoni, who was at the Senate Buildings by 10.00 am waiting to meet the Senate Committee on Health.
The Health Committee launched investigations into the death of Baby Travis on October 25, with its chairperson Senator Jackson Mandago saying they will ensure the family gets justice.
Their probe will reveal whether the baby’s death was as a result of a delay by KNH in performing an operation to remove the object that was lodged in Baby Travis’skull.
"We are siezed of the matter and the committee will be undertaking investigations immediately with a view to getting justice for baby Travis's family and also address the challenges in our referral system to prevent further loss of life," said Senator Mandago.
Earlier, the family had stated that doctors at KNH were sluggish in attending to the baby, and also alleged that they were required to pay Ksh.20,500 before the baby is taken to theatre.
