Trump vows to defeat “radical Islamic terrorism”

President-elect Donald Trump on Friday (December 16) repeated his campaign promises to defeat Islamic militants during a rally in Orlando, Florida.

Trump visited the city as part of his “Thank You Tour” of states where he scored upset victories in the presidential election.

Trump said it was wrong to burn the U.S. flag and added that he was going to try to “do something about it” when he takes office in January.

U.S. courts have ruled that flag-burning is a protected form of political speech and cannot be outlawed.

Trump criticized the U.S.’s current foreign policy.

“We’ve been moving from one reckless intervention to another” he said, adding that his goals include “crushing ISIS rapidly and defeating radical Islamic terrorism.”
