A 17-year-old boy from Gituguta, Kajiado County was on Wednesday beaten to death by an enraged mob after he allegedly stabbed and killed another 17-year-old boy during a dispute over a phone memory card.
According to a police report documenting the incident, one of the victims identified as David made his way to his friend Geoffrey's home to demand the memory card when a physical altercation ensued.
Amid the fight, Geoffrey, who had the memory card, stabbed David on the left side of his chest killing him instantly.
"The general public who were attracted by the commotion between the two disembarked on the first assailant (David) with blunt objects in a mob injustice incident and killed him in retaliation," the police report seen by Citizen Digital reads in part.
The scene of crime has since been processed by police with the bodies of the deceased boys being moved to Saitoti Sub-county Hospital mortuary.
