Two dead after Ugandan military chopper crashes during training session

Two people were killed on Tuesday after a chopper belonging to the Uganda People Defense Air Force (UPDAF) crashed in Gomba in Uganda.

Confirming the incident, Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Spokesperson Brig. Richard Karemire said the AF302 military jet ranger went down during a training session.

According to Mr. Karemire, the jet had only two people on board at the time of the incident and that “sadly, no one has survived.”

“Investigation into the cause has started. Condolences to their families and the entire UPDF fraternity,” added the Spokesperson.
