Two dead in Kibwezi in suspected murder-suicide

A man reportedly killed his wife before committing suicide in Kibwezi on Tuesday morning, reports say.

Kibwezi Assistant Commissioner Vitalis Ogur confirmed the incident. 

The couple, according to reports were casual labourers at a sisal company in the region but had separated over marital wrangles.

Witnesses who spoke to Musyi FM say the man attacked his estranged wife with a panga, killing her on the spot.

He later committed suicide by hanging himself a few meters from where he had reportedly killed the lady.

The body of the woman was collected by police officers early Tuesday morning.
