Two killed in Ndhiwa road accident involving Prado

Two people lost their lives on
Friday while two others sustained serious injuries following a road accident
involving a Toyota Prado and a tractor along the Sori-Ndhiwa road in Homa Bay
County.
Reports say that both vehicles were en route to Ndhiwa town from Sori when the Prado rammed into the rear right side of a tractor as it attempted to overtake the tractor near Osodo area.
The deceased persons, a man and a woman, were occupants of the Prado.
Confirming the incident, Ndhiwa Sub-County Police Commander Paul Rioba noted that the driver of the tractor and another occupant in the same vehicle sustained injuries during the incident and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Rioba says that the Prado was extensively damaged upon impact.
He also revealed that the deceased persons had yet to be positively identified.
The bodies of the deceased persons have since been moved to Homa Bay County Teaching and referral hospital mortuary pending identification while the vehicle wreckages have been towed to Ndhiwa Police station for inspection.
