Two killed, three injured in Kilifi road accident

Two people lost their
lives on Tuesday while three others sustained serious injuries following an
early morning road accident involving a lorry and Range Rover at Maji ya Chumvi
area in Mariakani, Kilifi County.
Police reports indicate
that the speeding Range Rover, en route to Nairobi, attempted to overtake a
vehicle when it collided head-on with the lorry.
The Range Rover's two
occupants, a man and a woman, died at the scene while three individuals in the
lorry escaped with serious injuries.
The bodies of the
deceased persons have since been moved to a local mortuary for storage as
investigations into the incident continue.
