Two people have been rescued after their vehicle was swept by flood waters while crossing a flooded culver section of Sekenani-Narok road near the Esupetai area.

According to a police report, members of the public retrieved the pair from the vehicle which was submerged on Wednesday afternoon.

Narok South Deputy County Commissioner and the Disaster Committee team arrived at the scene where they coordinated the rescue exercise.

Movement of vehicles was temporarily restricted until the water levels were reduced.

Residents and motorists have since been urged to avoid flooded road sections during this rainy season.

The vehicle is still submerged awaiting towing services when the water subsides.
