Police in Kisumu have arrested two suspects and recovered several stolen vehicles following an intelligence-led operation targeting a suspected motor vehicle theft syndicate.

The operation was conducted by a contingent of officers from Migosi and Kasagam Police Stations in Khayeko Junction and Aliwa Village within Kisumu East Sub-County.

According to the National Police Service report, detectives raided one of the targeted homesteads, arresting two suspects as one escaped. Police also recovered more exhibits, including car radios, vehicle registration plates, and assorted spare parts.

“During the operation, two suspects were arrested and are currently assisting with the investigation,” NPS stated.

“All recovered exhibits have been secured at Migosi Police Station as the process of verifying ownership continues.”

While commending the efforts by the sleuths, police say that efforts to locate and apprehend the remaining suspect are ongoing.
