Two suspects to be charged with murder following death of gang rape victim

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based in Kuresoi South, Nakuru County, have arrested two suspects in connection with an assault and gang rape incident that led to eventual death of the victim.

32-year-old Bernard Korir and 40-year-old Nelson Langat are presently being held in lawful custody awaiting arraignment.

This comes after a 26-year-old female was reportedly assaulted and gang raped at Chigamaba village in Olenguruone on September 19, 2020. She later died.

A hunt is currently underway for other suspects said to have been involved in the crime.

According to the DCI, charges of murder will be preferred against the suspects.
