A joint Parliamentary Group meeting bringing together lawmakers from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will be convened in the coming weeks to review progress made in implementing the 10-point Agenda and the recommendations of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report.

The planned meeting will follow up on the inaugural joint sitting held on August 18, 2025, which was attended by President William Ruto, the UDA party leader, and the late former ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

During that meeting, the Committee on the Implementation of the 10-point Agenda and the NADCO report was formally unveiled and tasked with steering the implementation of the reform agenda agreed upon by the two leaders in March 2025.

Details of the upcoming meeting emerged on Tuesday after the implementation committee, chaired by ODM Deputy Secretary General Agnes Zani presented a progress report to the UDA National Steering Committee at State House, Nairobi. The UDA meeting was chaired by President Ruto.

President Ruto said the issues under consideration by the committee were of great importance to Kenyans, noting that it was necessary for elected leaders to be regularly updated on the progress being made.

He added that he would, in the coming days, consult ODM leader Dr. Oburu Oginga to agree on the date for the joint Parliamentary Group meeting.

The committee’s presentation outlined key thematic areas under discussion as well as consultative forums held with ministries, state departments, agencies and civil society organisations since the committee assumed office in August 2025.

The report is expected to form part of the documentation to be deliberated upon at the UDA National Governing Council meeting scheduled for Monday next week.

President Ruto also reflected on earlier discussions he held with the late Raila Odinga before his death last year, saying the two leaders had agreed on the need to complete the implementation process within set timelines.

He emphasised that both the 10-point Agenda and the NADCO recommendations were critical to strengthening national cohesion and unity.

Members of the implementation committee present at the State House meeting included Vice Chairperson Javas Bigambo, Fatuma Ibrahim, Kevin Kiarie and Gabriel Oguda.

Joint secretaries to the committee, ODM Executive Director Oduor Ongw’en and UDA’s Nicodemus Bore, were also in attendance.

The UDA National Steering Committee was represented by Deputy Party Leader and Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki, National Chairperson Cecily Mbarire, Secretary General Senator Hassan Omar and National Treasurer Jasper Nyakundi.

The committee further announced that it will begin countrywide stakeholder engagements early next month and is scheduled to present a preliminary report to President Ruto and Dr. Oburu on February 6, 2026.
