Uhuru, Obama in State House as bilateral talks underway

President Uhuru Kenyatta and US President Barack Obama have arrived at State House Nairobi for bilateral talks.

Presidents Obama and Uhuru are expected to hold talks on matters ranging from trade to security among others.

Earlier, the two heads of state hosted the Global Entrepreneurship Summit at the UN offices in Gigiri.

The two presidents reiterated the promise of the country’s and the continent’s youth in the future of the world.

President Obama also lauded women as an “entrepreneurship powerhouse” who drive the economy.

On his part, President Kenyatta said Kenya showed great promise and infinite possibilities.

In an apparent reference to a recent report by CNN that referred to the country as a “hotbed of terror”, President Kenyatta invited the delegates to explore Kenya saying that they will discover the country is a “hotbed of thriving culture and infinite opportunities.”
