Uhuru’s convoy kills 80-year-old man

An 80 year-old man died on the spot at Lutunyi area, Kakamega County on Wednesday after one of the vehicles in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s motorcade ran over him and his grandson.
The accident, which happened when the two were aboard a bicycle, left the 24 year-old grandson nursing serious injuries.
Furious residents wanted to torch the vehicle, but they were overpowered by police.
The incident was reported at Kakamega police station.The young man was rushed to Kakamega Hospital and the deceased’s body taken to the mortuary.
