Mary Kilobi, the wife of COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, has castigated a section of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto for continuously making her the talking point of their conversations during political rallies. In a tweet on Wednesday, the TV anchor specifically singled out former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rachid Echesa and Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa for zeroing in their political onslaught on her, in their attempts to hit back at her husband."It's hilarious that some politicians, the likes of Rashid Echesa and Didmus Barasa have continuously made this KILOBI name inseparable with their manifesto in their rallies," she said.Kilobi likewise urged the DP’s allies to concentrate on preaching their so called ‘groundbreaking’ manifestos instead of putting a bullseye on her back especially since she is not actively involved in politics."I know it sounds really nice but Kenyans are eager to hear the "great plans" you purport to have for them. Kumbe hamna sera? Uza Sera wadau wachana na Kilobi. She's not a politician neither do I have plans of contesting," Kilobi said.Kilobi continued on to say that recent attempts by the DP’s allies to tarnish her reputation have in fact augmented her overall status and perception in the eyes of the Kenyan public."Ironically most guys who shout the loudest about Kilobi the "25-year-old" have been frequent visitors in Kajiado. And by the way mkae mkijua kejeli zenu zinanijengea ushuhuda wa kishindo!" she remarked.DP Ruto and his allies have been verbally bombarding Atwoli following his Monday utterances in which he alleged that the UDA leader would contemplate suicide after tasting defeat in the race to State House come August 9th.
