[VIDEO] CJ candidate Prof. Makau Mutua grilled over loyalty to the President

US based legal scholar Prof Makau Mutua’s stand on the legitimacy of Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidency came into sharp focus today as he appeared before the Judicial Service Commission interview panel. Mutua was under pressure to explain his social media posts which appeared to suggest that he does not recognise Kenyatta’s presidency. Mutua however said he would have no problem working with Kenyatta should he be appointed the country’s next Chief Justice.
