Video: Its Tough Turf Wars In Ukambani Politics

For several years now, the rift between Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has grown into a chasm that threatens the very unity the Ukambani region has been seeking for decades.

That rift further deepened when Mutua launched the Maendeleo Chap Chap movement that is seen as a new political vehicle that aims to scuttle wiper’s grip on the region’s politics. And those differences it appears are growing by the day, with Machakos Governor Mutua who has been out of the country for more than a month now alleging that Musyoka is out to bring his county government down with the help of Machakos politicians.
