[VIDEO] Kenya Railways connects SGR with the old MGR for seamless flow of cargo from Mombasa to Malaba

Kenya Railways has now reduced by over 50 percent tariff charged on cargo destined from Mombasa to Malaba following complaints by the East Africa Community over the high charges. The move is meant to increase the amount of cargo ferried through railway and reduce the amount of time taken to ferry the goods to neighboring countries. This came as the government agency kicked off a two month trial of seamlessly ferrying goods from Mombasa to Malaba through the rail.
