The banking sector remained calm Monday following Sunday’s announcement by the Central Bank that it would come to the rescue of banks facing liquidity charges. Although details of how the proposed facility remains scanty, stakeholders say the move by the Governor Dr. Patrick Njoroge acted to give customers assurance that the banking sector remains stable.
